About Us

Ecoplas was founded in 1992 and is based near Selby in North Yorkshire. Ecoplas is the largest independent PVC-u recycling operation in the UK, at the forefront of both the collection of redundant material and new technology. 

Ecoplas can handle around 50,000 tonnes of waste PVC-u per annum and produces a comprehensive range of products from window grade material to satisfy the extrusion industry.

The main focus is to recycle waste PVC-u converting it into granules, powder or pellets and reintroduced into the extrusion process with the intention of returning recycled material back to the original producer.

Ian Tippett

Managing Director

Ian formed Ecoplas in 1992. Supplying the UK and Europe he has grown Ecoplas into becoming one of the most advanced recycling companies in the UK. He has invested in not only state of the art equipment but also in the right people.

Ryan Holland

Site Manager

Ryan joined Ecoplas in 2016 and is key player on the senior management team responsible for Health, Safety and all Environmental matters on plant ensuring compliance in all areas are met in line with government legislation.

Ian Oates

Production Manager

25 years operational and production experience. Ian is heavily involved in continuous improvement projects for departments and business KPI's. He has a genuine interest in the training and long term development of his teams and individuals within the organisation, our processes and ultimately the service and relationships we have with our customers.

Jane Tippett

Procurement & Marketing

Jane joined Ecoplas in 2011 and is responsible for our new business strategy for raw material to site and current implementation of our expansion programme throughout the UK. 

Kevin Hinch

Transport & Logistics

Kevin joined Ecoplas in 2014, with 31 years of Transport experience. He controls our transport/logisitics operation for the UK and Europe.

Joanne Sowden

Finance

Joanne Sowden joined Ecoplas in 1999. As Finance Manager Joanne works on the senior management team involved in all aspects of accounts covering our UK and European transactions.

David Snowden

Quality Manager

22 years’ experience working in Information Sciences. David ensures all finished product is of the highest standard to meet all customer expectations assuring product compliance across the production process.

Michael Robinson

Systems Control Manager

25 years operational roles in logistics and distribution within 3PL companies around the UK. Covering our timely receipt/dispatch of customer, manufacturer and supplier deliveries to and from Ecoplas using WMS. Driving site improvement procedures involving Lean Manufacturing and OEE results

Kath Scott

Accounts

Kath Scott joined in February 2007 and is responsible for payroll, purchase ledger and general account admin.

Giles Taylor

Materials Buyer

Giles Joined the procurement team in 2017 with over 30 years’ successful experience in account management and procurement. He manages all skip and waste management company enquiries and point of contact for all Council refurbishment tenders.

Kate Riley

Compliance Manager

Kate joined us in 2013 recently progressing to management level. Working with Senior management Kate ensures compliance is met across the company whilst offering a support function to HSE. 

Charlotte Rollason

Procurement & Logistics

Charlotte is the first point of contact for our raw material collection fleet, responsible for consumer liaison to customer exchanges/product deliveries & collections.

Gary Smith

Engineering Manager

Gary joined Ecoplas in 2016 and is responsible for the management of new process and project innovation as well as the maintenance and technological problem solving on plant.
